Love, Peace, Marriage Equality

I’ve been happy to know that Sex and the City star, Cynthia Nixon, 43 and her girlfriend Christine Marinoni got engaged at last. It happened at a Sunday rally in New York last month to support same-sex marriage, reports Access Hollywood. The couple has been together since 2003 and when Marinoni, 42, gave her loved one a ring she said, “It’s time already”.

About that same time, with California having legalized gay marriage (a law subsequently struck down in the November 2008 election), Nixon told the News, “In an ideal world, we’d like to in New York, when it becomes legalized.”

6 years! That’s exactly the time to know each other well enough. Acually the beauty of love lasts a life time. And even if happens that the relationship is long distance it does not matter at all. You love or you dont. And when you’re in love it really doesn’t matter if your loved one is in the same city, state or even country. Love has no distance. But… much better to be some closer of course, next to someone you love. Right solution is to get married.

Kristen Dalton Queen of Beauty 2009

Dont be Idle

And like a dream, a life, a reason, everything must change. And like a world, this earth and seasons everything must change. So, what can we do to stop that? We can do nothing. Because that’s absolutely truth, everyone will change; no one stays the same etc. I hope you’ve guessed already, all those quotes have been taken from the lyrics of my favorite jazz singers Billy Holyday and Nina Simone, though I love them and I trust them very much but not completely.

Because I know exactly that not all changes are growth and not all movements are forward. You know what I mean? Yes, I mean the way how I’m look right now and how I feel myself, and here you must admit that there are things such as health, appearance, good mood at last, we have power to improve.

As regards my rules they are very simple: quality food, good diet, taking care of my skin, a lot of sleep and physical activity. Music and Love

Winter depression is even more global problem than finance crisis I guess:-) But really, one just has worn out to be thinking positive and getting lots of vitamin C and what else psychologists advice to do all these long, dark and cold winter days. I’m not doctor but I know the recipe ruled always. Love and Music, music and Love, and Dance of course! like my slippers:-)! That’s right!

Besides that, don’t forget eat right, get lots of sleep and take care of your mind and body as well. Move heaven and earth!

But in case it gets worse, just talk to someone you love. Sometimes that’s the best remedy, and laugh or cry or run to get the adrenaline going. Exercise, stay busy, surround yourself with positive people you love and that love you, find a purpose!

Would we be in global crisis if women ran Wall Street? “Probably not – women would never have come up with all those sophisticated tools.”

But jokes aside, there seemed to be a pretty broad consensus among Davos Women (and, yes, some Davos Men) that if women had run Wall Street, they would have saved the world from the corrosive gambling culture that dominated many a trading room. Muhammad Yunus, the Bangladeshi microfinance pioneer whose Grameen Bank lends to women rather than men, said the current crisis would almost certainly not have happened if women had shaped financial practices.

“Women are more cautious,” he said. “They wouldn’t have taken the enormous types of risks that brought the system down.”

And Neelie Kroes, the European competition commissioner, said she was “absolutely convinced” that testosterone was one of the reasons the financial system had been brought to its knees.

“In general terms, females are a bit less ego-driven and a bit more responsible than men,” she said.

One of the few women at the top level of banking, Ana Botín of Santander, runs a healthy bank and has not had to rely on government help to stay afloat, Kroes pointed out, even as the entire Spanish economy is collapsing around her.

And as the Harvard economist Kenneth Rogoff remarked, it was Germany’s chancellor, Angela Merkel, who called 18 months ago for transparency in financial markets and regulation of the nonbank financial sector. “She didn’t even want heavy regulation – she was just completely sane and sensible – but she was squashed by all the men,” said Rogoff, who wrote an article in her support at the time.

“She was a lone voice, and that’s the problem. We need more gender diversity in the finance sector.”
